Ontario Small Claims Court Tip

The single biggest Ontario Small Claims court tip that we can give is to do lots of research and make sure you are prepared. Gather as much evidence as you can to support your claim. Speak to your witnesses and ensure that they still remember the incident/occurrence, write down the sequence of events as they have occurred, confirm if the party you plan to sue is still living at their address and most of all put your emotions on the shelf and be reasonable about what you ask for. If you make unreasonable demands, you may limit your success when seeking a judgement in the Ontario Small Claims Court.
